Small Electrical Upgrades Worth Doing
The upgrades that change how a house feels
The electrical work that changes daily life is almost never the expensive kind.
Dimmers on the rooms you use at night. It is a twenty-minute change per switch and it does more for how a room feels than repainting it.
Exterior and landscape lighting. In the Upstate the evenings are long and dark by five in winter. This is the upgrade people notice every single day.
GFCI protection where it is missing. Kitchens, baths, garages, exteriors and crawlspaces. Older Greenville homes frequently have none of it.
Ceiling fans in bedrooms. Worth doing properly — a fan needs a brace-rated box, not the light box that is already up there.
USB and smart outlets in the two or three places you actually charge things.
Where the line is: panel work, new circuits, and service upgrades are permit-scale and get coordinated with a licensed specialist. Everything downstream of the panel we handle directly, and we will tell you which side of that line your job falls on before we start.
Send the list. Most of these get done in a single visit.
